Our Easter Hat Parade is one of the true highlights of the school year! Students showcase their creativity with colourful handmade hats in a joyful parade filled with music and performances. Families join the celebration, cheering on the children and taking part in our exciting P&C Easter basket raffle. It’s a day of fun, colour and connection that brings our whole school community together.

Each year, Bellambi Public School proudly hosts the Reconciliation Walk, bringing together thousands of students from schools across our region in a powerful show of unity. Walking side by side, students, staff and community members honour the truths of the past while looking ahead to a brighter, more inclusive future. Guided by the wisdom of local Elders and enriched by cultural practices such as the Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, the event is a meaningful reminder that reconciliation is not just about words, but about walking together in action and respect.

Our writing units are launched with creative “hooks” designed to excite and inspire students. From exploring fresh produce and meeting animals in a farm experience, to classrooms taken over by cheeky monsters, scavenger hunts filled with clues, and visits from special guests, these immersive activities spark curiosity and imagination. They help students step into new worlds, making writing purposeful, engaging and fun.

Students at Bellambi Public School enjoy a wide range of sporting opportunities throughout the year. From cross country, athletics and swimming carnivals to PSSA gala days and regional or state sporting trials, there are countless ways to get involved, challenge themselves and celebrate teamwork. Our houses, Nations, Majorie and Saxonia, compete with pride and school spirit, making every event a chance to shine and cheer each other on.

Book Week is a much-loved celebration at Bellambi Public School. Each year, students and staff dress up as their favourite book characters and take part in a colourful parade that fills the school with excitement and imagination. Alongside the parade, families can visit our Scholastic Book Fair, where a wide selection of books is available for purchase. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate reading, grow our home libraries and share the joy of books together as a school community.
